Established in 2005 by Parisian entrepreneurs and art devotees Loic Le Gaillard and Julien Lombrail, Carpenters Workshop Gallery is known for its discovery of bold and iconic design-art. Like the artists it fosters, the gallery takes a young, fresh and dynamic approach, following its own aesthetic and exhibiting unique and limited edition works by both emerging and established artists and designers.
Representing a diversity of backgrounds and practices, Carpenters Workshop Gallery presents works from unique and powerful voices
that add deep significance to the challenging landscape of contemporary art.
For GUILD, the gallery is bringing the design works of South African-born Kendell Geers back to his homeland for the first time, as the Featured Artist of the Fair.
Geers, now living in Brussels, defines himself as an art “terrorist” and insists on the need for commitment.
Since the nineties, his work has been firmly anchored in activism and its issues, placing the spectator squarely in front of their own choices.
